The advances in technology, particularly the roll out of broadband has opened the doors to many new businesses and Co. Leitrim now boasts a growing ICT network, with members from software, web development, graphic design, digital media and other fields. 60% of the network members moved to Leitrim from the US, the UK, and other parts of Ireland, citing reasons such as a better quality of life and being self employed in business areas where location is practically irrelevant.
To accommodate new and existing businesses in Co. Leitrim, Leitrim Business Network has been established by Leitrim County Enterprise Board to assist businesses to network and do business together. Boasting over 90 members, the network is both online and offline and meets on the first Tuesday of every month.
